narrow & sparrow
walking beside you on the narrow way
We all need help, especially along the narrow way.
This is a very present reality to Pastor’s and church leaders. Much of ministry is about running a church, but how much of that contributes to running the race set before us? How can we lead well, with margin and clarity for those around us? What does it look like to live from our values and become people who move at the pace of Christ. narrow & sparrow exists to help pastors and ministry leaders navigate the complexities of the modern church with tools, both ancient and new.
“I would want to tell pastors to quit being so busy and learn quiet, to quit talking so much and learn silence, to quit treating the congregation as customers and treat them with dignity as souls-in-formation.”
-Eugene Peterson
The Heart
One size fits all solutions don’t work. The Church is not a business. It’s the bride of Christ. Challenges are not isolated, they are part of a larger whole within your Church.
We need to create space and organization that works with the Holy Spirit. To follow Jesus’ lead and work where the Father is already working. Each local expression of the church is unique and while we can learn from others, the task before you is to be the community God has made you to be.
With narrow & sparrow the goal is develop a trusted partnership that works with you during seasons of growth and challenge. To leverage years of experience in your local context. To develop discernment and focus.
Together we will identify where complexity is working against you. Create systems that reinforce your values. Learn tools that help you along The Way.
Simplify
Simplicity isn’t simplistic, it’s bringing order to chaos.
Systematize
Move to solving problems with systems, not people.
Sustain
Burnout is real, but it doesn’t have to be your story.
The Outcomes
If how we work and who we become in the process is more important than achieving a particular result, then we must abandon the outcomes of our work to God. The outcomes are a grace, ‘that is opposed to earning, not effort.” The key, then, is to work on the things that truly matter and stop wasting time, money and effort on things that do not contribute to the formation of souls to the glory of God.
The prayer is that you walk away from our time feeling more hope than when we started out. That the focus is moved from the problems of today and to a vision that is full of life and something worth pursuing. We want to set ourselves on a trajectory of becoming daily surrendered human beings that use all of our creativity, thinking and feeling in love.
What People Are Saying
Pastoral leadership often feels like navigating a minefield—one filled with emotional landmines, theological tensions, and decisions that deeply impact people’s lives. In moments when I’ve been overwhelmed by the weight of shepherding people through betrayal, brokenness, and the battle between truth and grace, my coach has been the steady presence I didn’t know I desperately needed.
What makes him invaluable isn’t just his knowledge—it’s his discernment. In the most tangled of situations, he doesn’t give me easy answers. He helps me slow down, peel back the layers, and ask the right questions. His deep understanding of spiritual formation, emotional health, and biblical integrity has shaped the way I lead people—not by reaction, but by reflection.
If you’re a pastor or leader trying to stay grounded in grace and truth—if you want someone who isn’t afraid to wade into the mess with you, and help you come out the other side with clarity and conviction—this is the coach you want in your corner. I am beyond grateful for him, and I honestly don’t know where I’d be without his guidance.

Working with Jace has been a game-changer for our church. He has a critical eye in the best way possible, and has helped bring tremendous clarity to our leadership team through his precise questions, critical thinking, and willingness to challenge our assumptions. But the best part of working with Jace is the care and attention he gave to the inner life of our leaders. Jace has the unique ability to blend spiritual formation and organizational leadership for the end goal of real transformation.

a conversation about culture
I was fortunate to be a guest on a Pastor Trey’s podcast. we talked about a lot, but at the heart are the ingredients that make up a culture focused on living in the Kingdom of God.
